How To Play
BEFORE YOU START: GRAND STAFF = CARD ORDER
Use the included grand staff guide to determine the order of notes, just like how you would use numbers in a standard deck. Card order follows the grand staff from low to high: Starts on C ~ 2 ledger lines under the bass staff Moves up through Middle C ~ yellow on the keyboard Ends on C ~ 2 ledger lines above the treble staff When playing games that rely on sequences or runs, use the grand staff guide to determine the correct musical order.

Standard Card Games You Can Play!
GO FISH
(Great for Beginners)
Play as usual, but instead of asking for numbers, ask for note names ~ or . . . rhythmic expressions! Example: “Do you have any Ds?” “Do you have any half notes?” Match note names and rhythmic expressions by name regardless of clef or octave.
RUMMY
(Intermediate)
Build runs using consecutive chromatic notes found on the grand staff guide (e.g., E–F– F# - G or A-A# B, C). You can also create sets of 3 or 4 of the same note name in different octaves.
POKER
(Advanced)
Use the grand staff guide to determine card rankings. A straight is five sequential notes (e.g., B–C–C#-D–D#). A flush can be four cards from the same clef or rhythmic expression.
SOLITAIRE
(Single Player)
Referring to the map and/or the grand staff guide, stack cards in chromatically descending order by color. (e.g. place cards into the foundation and build up chromatically by suit)
TRITONES!
(2-4 Players)
Be the first player to lay down three intervals that are Tritones (augmented 4ths/diminished 5ths).
CUSTOM GAMEPLAY
Teachers and Musicians: create your own games to explore music theory with like minded others. Use color coding or clef identification as added challenges.
QUICK TIPS
Beginners can play by note names only.
Intermediate players can focus on order and clef.
Advanced players can add octave awareness and rhythm elements.
